History:

Heartland Church really is a living picture of the truth of God’s power to bring forth beauty from ashes. There was a very small group of believers who no longer had a pastor holding on to the seed of a common vision. Waiting for God to bring the right ministry gift for the people had been a long and hard journey for the few. While coming back to Texas from Orlando, Florida for a wedding God instructed Pastor Ken and Dawn to come to Brownwood and minister to this small group of believers. By the time the weekend was over God had totally confirmed to both His will for them. Brownwood, Texas would be their assignment. This was in November of 1992. With a very small group of believers, no salary or promise of money, and previous church indebtedness Heartland Church was formed. From the very beginning God’s faithfulness has been evident time after time. Today Heartland Church is a thriving community of hundreds of believers transforming their own lives as well as the lives of others by the word of God in the love of God. We truly have grown to be a church family where the passion for God is expressed translating into compassion for others. Our approach is sincere, simple and sacrificial with the purpose of leading souls to Christ and making disciples.
