Charles Fales
Children's Pastor

Charles Fales is the Children’s Pastor for Heartland Church. He was saved at the age of sixteen, after being involved in some things that were not pleasing to God. He told God he would turn his life over to Him if He would get him out of the situation he was in at the time. God was faithful, and Charles has been faithful as well. He began going to church in Liberty Hill, Texas, and it was there that he started his career as a clown. While doing professional clowning, and ministering in a clown group called the “Heavenly Nitwits” around the Austin area, his clown partner and he were asked to come to Brownwood and become a ministry in the church.

Charles was discipled by Pastor Ken for 2 years, and during this time he realized that he was called into the ministry. He attended and graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. After graduating in 1997, he wanted to return to Heartland Church to serve in the church body; however, God told him to go to serve in a church in Austin instead. After serving at Victory Christian Center of Austin for 6 months, the Pastor asked him to be the Pre-teen Pastor and Bus Ministry Director. He also served as Children’s Pastor, Children’s Evangelist, Bible Fellowship leader to married couples, children with single moms, children with divorced parents, and was an assistant leader with the parenting classes. It was while working at Victory Christian Center of Austin, that he met and married his lovely wife, Emily. God has anointed them to minister to families in the areas of martial relationships, parenting, and blended families. Charles and Emily have four children, three girls and one boy.

At Heartland Church Children’s Ministry, we are committed to reaching and teaching children through the help and power of the Holy Spirit with the love of God. Our Mission Statement is “Giving children a vision for life and tools for living.” We accomplish this by helping develop Christian character in today’s children, to equip God’s children for works of service, and to develop children’s purpose and destiny to ensure successful and prosperous lives.
