    1. Do I have to get my life cleaned up before coming to church? - Top

    No. In our own self we truly don't have the ability to clean our life up. We can change our appearance and quit doing certain sins but the Bible says our righteousness is as filthy rags to God. But the great news is that Jesus became our righteousness for us. Just believe in His work on the cross and through the power of His resurrection we were made right with God. We welcome you to come and join us as we grow together in learning what this Amazing Loving God has done for us through His Son! - Updated: February 24, 2006

    Heartland offers children ministries for ages from birth through teens. Our programs are designed from looking through the eyes of children and discover what will help them grow and mature in their relationship with Christ based on their age and stage in life. We want lessons presented in ways that capture children where they are and give them understanding of the true meaning in the lesson as well as how to apply it to their everyday lives. See our Children's Ministry for more information. - Updated: February 24, 2006

    7. Why do I need salvation? - Top

    When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden all man became infected with spiritual death. And so things remained until Jesus was sent by God as our agent, intercessory, our advocate to pay the price once and for all for mankind's sin. Jesus said in JN. 10:9, " I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture." Jesus became our righteousness. There is no other way to eternal life and to God but through Him.

    8. How do I recommit my life to Christ? - Top

    The word "repent" really means to change your way of thinking. This is the same word meaning that Jesus used when He spoke to the multitudes. He was really saying to rethink the way you have been living and start learning what God has done for you. Learn about Him and you will begin to act differently and see differently and your desires for the things of the world will fade away. You become a new creation when you believe in Christ. The life of commitment is established in the desire to be "known" of God. Allowing God to experience your life daily by trusting in His care for you and that all His promises in the bible are true and for you with no exception. A successful commitment to Christ is all about "Relationship" with God through the Jesus Christ. - Updated: February 25, 2006

    9. I believe in God but why do I need to attend church? - Top

    Paul spoke of the mystery of Christ's love for the Church and it's purpose in the earth. In the scripture below Christ gave the gifts of the five fold ministry offices to the Church.In Eph. 4:11 He gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers and in verse twelve he tells you why. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry and the edifying of the body of Christ. If you are born again you are a member of the body of Christ just as your arms, legs, hands and feet are joined to the head by the body. The bible clearly teaches the saint to submit to eldership of those who are faithful and have evidential fruit of the spirit in their lives.
    There is also a corporate anointing, which can only be experienced in a group setting. You can watch it on TV and that is good but there is a difference in being there. I can watch a commercial about a buffet and see all the food but if I go to where it is being served up then I get to taste it for myself.

    You have gifts in you that the other parts of the body of Christ need. They may be undiscovered to you now but God's knows how and where you fit in the body of Christ. Pray for His guidance and if He leads you to our fellowship then we will rejoice with you and get to know you as family. We have a saying here at Heartland,"The first time you come you are a visitor, the second time we consider you family."

    Eph 4:11 And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
    Eph 4:12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
    Eph 4:13 And this until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
    Eph 4:14 so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit.
    Eph 4:15 But that you, speaking the truth in love, may in all things grow up to Him who is the Head, even Christ;

    Eph 4:16 from whom the whole body, fitted together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of each part, producing the growth of the body to the edifying of itself in love.
