Our Worship

… Our Worship at Heartland Church is based on a biblical model, and we strive for authenticity in all that we do. Some elements of our Worship Service include:

Standing to Sing

Rev:9 ...I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb"

Clapping Our Hands
Ps. 47:1 "Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy."

Lifting Our Hands

Ps. 63:4 " I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name I will lift up my hands."
Ps.134:2 "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord."
1 Tim 2:8 "I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing."

Singing with my Spirit and with my Mind

1 Cor 14:14-15 "For if I pray in a tongue my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind."

Using Musical Instruments as a Part of the Worship Service

Ps. 150:3-6 "Praise Him for his mighty works. Praise His unequaled greatness. Praise Him with the trumpet and with lute and harp. Praise Him with the drums and dancing. Praise Him with stringed instruments and horns. Praise Him with cymbals, yes, loud clanging symbals."

Prophecy

1 Cor. 14:3 "But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort." (Amos 3:8, 1 Cor. 12:10-11)
1 Cor 14:26 "How is it then, brethern, when ye come together, everyone of you hath a psalms, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation? Let all things be done unto edifying."
